a.day.never.forgotten

Three years ago I remember being paralyzed with pain as my heart broke from the news of my best friends death is Brazil. I never thought my life would be the same, but I look at where I was then and where I am now and I am amazed! I will never go back to the place I was. I am full of joy, laughter, love and light! I'm ready for this new chapter in my life, but Matt will always be apart of it no matter what. He got me here, where I am today reaching my potential! That being said this day will never be easy, his death will never be easy, but the celebration of his life couldn't get any better, so today that's what I'll do, celebrate his life, his spirit and not mourn his death.

I will never forget this day! I love my life and I love where it is headed!

Love you Matt

we're.getting.married

That's right Trevor Linthorst and I are getting married! As of April 10, 2011 I have a finace! I told you I was in love, so much so that I got an answer and that was to marry and spend the rest of eternity with Trevor. He makes me the happiest person, he makes me Ali again. After years of trials and tragedies I finally feel like my old self again, but more mature of course. Well enough of that here is the story!

This past weekend Trevor and I went to Moab with my mom and dad! It was the perfect weekend to get away from work and best of all the snow! We spent Saturday off roading to Gemini Bridges and other places it was a blast. My dad and Trevor could not stop talking about Jeeps and off roading. I think every Jeep we passed we stop/slow downed to check it out! It was great. Then that night we went out to dinner for my birthday, I do not recommend the Moab Brew Pub! Anyways Sunday morning we woke up to blue sky and sunshine, which meant hiking!! I could not wait, we were going to my favorite arch- Corona Arch. I was especially excited to share this place with Trevor since he has never been to Moab! As we set out it was just a normal day.... Once we got to the arch there were a ton of people. We walked around and went to the back side of the arch... As we sat there Trevor kept getting frustrated that people kept coming and I didn't know why and basically all at the same time everyone left, even my parents. I got up a few minutes later to walk back, Trevor was behind me. Kept saying my name "Ali, Ali, ALI!!!" I was totally oblivious, but turned around. He asked me to hold his Nike bag. I guess right on top was the ring box with a bow and I didn't even notice I just said "Ok" closed the bag and put it on my back.... Great now what was he going to do. So I started walking again and he kept saying my name once again and I finally turned around and there in his hand was the ring! I could not believe it, my hands went straight to my mouth and I started to cry. I was not expecting it at all and I had been waiting a long time... We decided to get married the day I got back from Hawaii, February 7th, that's how long I have been married. So then he asked "Ali Jane Knudsen will you marry me?" Shocked and trembling with excitement I said "Yes" and that's how it happened! Here are some pictures to tell the story enjoy!! I am the happiest girl in the world. By the way the picture of the ring does not do it justice you will have to see it in person!!

On the way up!! I love this picture

Notice no ring!!!

Right before it happened!

Right after it happened

The ring, it's beautiful and so unique!!

the.past.few.weeks

Wow I am a terrible blogger as you can all see my last post was FIVE weeks ago, not one, but five, pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Things have been pretty busy these days, running around, family, dates and happy moments that have brought smiles and laughter to my face, filling my soul. Trevor and I have been doing lots the last 5 weeks. In short summary Meg, Corbin, Indie and Tosh were in town, Trevor got ordained, Trevor's mom was in town from Portland, snowboarding, swimming, bowling, papusa's, Jazz game, sister dinner and of course Lisa brought baby Samuel Conn into this world! I hope you are smiling just like me because these were all joyful moments and I am glad that I got to share them with someone I truly love and care about, yes that is Trevor and yes I just declared on my blog that I am in love, so so so in love and it is the greatest feeling in the world. Anyways here are some pictures recounting the last 5 weeks for all your enjoyment.

Bowling Night!! The bowling line up was Ali, Trev, Miles, Kesley, Laura and Miller

Have you ever had a Papusa?! Well it is an El Salvadorian deliciousness I loved it! The night was spent with lots of old Oregon friends and new Oregon friends for me. Here are the usual: Ali, Trev, Miles and Kesley!

Toshie loved the shovel, everyday you saw him dragging it around where ever he went. As you can see the shovel is almost as big as him, quite a sight! I love this little guy and I sure miss him already!

Meg, Indie, Tosh and I went to the Kamas pool for one of our last adventures! It was great, Tosh loved it and Indie loved it! Indie showed us all her ballerina moves on the side of the pool!

Jazz vs. Dallas Mavericks! I still love the Jazz! Trev and I had a really fun night at the game. Our first date was a Jazz game!No kiss cam this time though or the first time! Someday!

Samuel Conn Harbertson is born! This was a fun day spent with the family meeting our newest addition! He is one fuzzy adorable little thing I could scream he is so cute and such a miracle baby! Love you baby Sam!

Trevor and I spent the day snowboarding at Park City with Anna and Chris it was a blast!

As you can see the past five weeks have been crazy and that isn't even half of the stuff we did! Well until next time keep it real!
