life.going.fast

Life seems to be coming at us fast. In just a week we will have been married a year, and what a great year it has been, but I can’t believe that our first anniversary is here. Maybe it is because life has been pretty busy for us.

Trevor has taken up road cycling, I am training for the St. George marathon and Nixon, well he loves eating sticks, going on runs with me and playing in the park. Between those things, work and family we have been having a blast.

Over the 4th of July Meg, Corbin, Indie and Tosh were here and so were Erin, Royal and Nolan. We have been spending lots of time with family and we absolutely love it. It has been fun seeing everyone that we miss so much.

Popsicles at Trailside Park celebrating Lisa, Anna and Sylvia's birthday!

Quite the Knudsen crew and we are even missing four people!

I also was in San Francisco for work (16 hour days in heels is exhausting) and I missed Trev a lot, but it was fun to be in San Francisco with lots of memories of visiting as a kid. I love that city and the weather could not have been more perfect.

Partner Cocktail Party, the lights were jelly fish! It was an awesome building with a sea theme. Apparently the building use to be the YMCA swimming pool and they converted it into a restaurant.

Over the 24th of July weekend Trevor and I got some tickets to Real game from some of our friends in our ward and it was a blast! The fireworks were amazing! I love Real games and they definitely make me miss the days of soccer.

As for marathon training and cycling things are going well—except I have had a little hiccup with my foot. It has been really inflamed and bothering me so finally after two visits to my doctor and some x-ray’s that don’t show anything I went to an ortho specialist at the U and still nothing. No running for two weeks has been killing me, but I have been able to cross train which hopefully will keep me on track with my training.

san.francisco.here.i.com

I leave for San Francisco in the morning for a work conference. I am pretty excited I have always loved San Francisco ever since I was little. I remember driving there when I was little to visit my cousins and I always thought the city was so magical. I think deep down I have always been a city girl. The only bad thing about this trip is that Trevor (and Nixon) won't be with me. I sure will miss him. The other bad thing, it is work not pleasure, not much time for play. I will have to get some shopping, sight seeing and maybe the miniature store in on this trip. San Francisco here I come!

thankful.for.today

When life starts getting busy sometimes I don’t take the time to stop and just be present. Present in the moment and realize how many things I am thankful for and the amazing life I live. So today I am thankful. I am thankful for the leftover feeling of rain, dew on the grass. I am thankful for yawning noise of Nixon each morning and his snuggly face. I am thankful for my husband and the hard work he does each day to provide for us. I am thankful for my job and the path I am on for a career. I am thankful for each person that has touched me in one way another, I am thankful for our freedom and for our country.
I am thankful for today! I am thankful to be a live and breathing, to have two legs to walk, run and skip. I am thankful for pain and trials, they make the happy times ten times better and I cherish them all. I am thankful, I am thankful, I am thankful.
