Snowboarding!

This winter has been very fun for me this year! Only having school Monday and Wednesday (still 17 credits I might add) I have every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday to snowboard. It has been the greatest thing and the a great thing to help me heal. The feeling I get when I am on the mountain snowboarding is indescribable, expect that I forget everything, all my worries, and all my pain! In one of the photos you see me popping my board up! I am working on being tricky so wait for more pictures to come! It has been so awesome to have the same schedule with Liz and Laur and being able to snowboard with them again. We definitely have a blast and don't miss one day, well except this week because it was RAINING!

In Memory of...

After Brady got home from his mission December 31st I held a formal dinner in memory of Matt. It was all of our friends together again. The most together we will be since Matt will not be coming home this June. It was an amazing, emotional, fun, joyful night shared with the people I love most. Every single one of these people were affected by Matt's death in a different way. We have all been so close growing up and it is amazing to see the friendship we each share. I can truly say I love and will always love each and everyone of these people for the rest of my life. We will all be connected by Matt and we will never forget the time we have spent mourning him and remembering him. Here are the people who came: Ali Knudsen, Liz Bailey, Lauren Bailey, Natalie Green, Lindsey Dardano, Phil Hovey, Connor Botkin, Jon Woodcock, Alex Williams, Brady Ewell, Brandon Buford, Ben Fisher, Trevor Gulbrandsen, Dave Knoop. The only people who couldn't come were Sterling Graham, Spencer Dubois, Corey Milne, Cate Williams, Brenna Ellis.

This is a picture from my 18th birthday formal dinner. This dinner was a remake of this and almost everyone could be there and I know Matt was there too!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Everybody Looks Better in an Ugly Christmas Sweater. Enough said!
Before everyone started finals and headed home for Christmas break, Liz, Lauren and I planned our 2nd annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and it was quite a hit! Now you can enjoy all the ugly Christmas sweaters too! I definitely got a crack out of it, hopefully you will too.

Long Time, Long Time

Sorry it has been such a long time since my last post. I have been so busy with school, snowboarding and moving down to Provo. I feel like I am constantly going going going. I am going to be doing a couple of posts to update you all on the going on's in my life!

A New Year

The year 2008 was a tough one for me... My mother was making lists of what each sibling had done the past year and I was thinking to myself, mine would not be very uplifting, it has been the hardest year of my life and I do know that despite the fact that I am only 20 years old! I am so thankful for this year a lot of change has taken place, but a lot of physical and emotional pain as well. I love you all and hope that 2009 is a year of luck for all of us. A year of joy and love, which of course it will be. Love you all!

I wanted to share some pictures that Cate Williams put together for a book of memories and a memorial of Matthew Lawrence Knoop they are absolutely beautiful.... You can check out more pictures at http://catherinewilliamsphotography.blogspot.com she is amazing!

These pictures definitely emulate my emotions for this year... With 4 deaths, 4 car crashes, and lots of pain, I don't go a day without breaking down and crying and feeling that pain in my heart all over again. I have also had some good times this year don't get me wrong, the many times spent with old friends and family have been uplifting and also the personal changes I have made in my life have been the greatest blessing from the tragic loss of Matt. I can't believe the year has come and gone.
