Red Rock, Red Sand, and Red Arches

There is beauty all around. Right after spending 13 days in Hawaii, I packed up again and headed to Moab with the loves of my life Liz and Lauren. We also went with two friends Brian and Ben. It never seizes to amaze me that just three hours from Provo there is a place with sunshine, red rock, red sand, and arches. We hiked to Delicate Arch and Corona Arch. It was a really fun short trip that helped me realize that nature is the most beautiful, peaceful thing. It also made me realize that you learn a lot about people when you are camping or out in nature, hence the reason why in the Knudsen family you have to take your future or potential husband on a river trip with the fam. You learn a lot! Lauren knows what I am talking about. It was a great weekend.

Hawaiian Oasis

For 13 days I had the pleasure to go to Hawaii with my mom and dad to visit Meg and Corbin and Indie. It was truly a vacation and a great one at that. It was a time where the three of us got to escape the worries and pains that have happened over the course of the past year. Our days were spent reading, on the beach, visiting Corb at BYU-H, Hanging out with "Surfer Boy" as his name became thanks to my mom, shopping, and running on the beach every morning. One day we went into Honolulu and went to the aquarium there, it was awesome. You are able to see so many different kinds of fish big and small and I learned a ton. My favorite and I think everyone else's was the Sea Dragon. For the most part though our days were spent on the beach, relaxing. Here are some photos to capture the moments.

These pictures are from our first days in Hawaii... Meg and Corbin's apartment, Pounders, and Kekelas beach park for our BBQ

The Dole Plantation, need I say more! Luckily we didn't walk through the Dole maze or whatever (we did that the first year and it's lame), but we did get to enjoy some pineapple whip/ice cream and it was absolutely amazing. We also got take out from Meg and Corb's favorite Thai place Haleawia Eats. I love it too!

These pictures are from my favorite beach we went too, well I loved them all. It was called Keiki beach which means child or growing child I am not sure, something a long those lines. The water and the sand were absolutely amazing here. It also felt like our own private beach, it was awesome. We went here the last two days of our trip. It is the beach my mom finally got in the ocean and swam around or should I say got tossed around as she played in the waves with her boogey board.

Just another day in the sand for Indie... Meg always wondered if Indie thought she lived at the beach. I am sure after 13 days with us and waking up to the ocean, she must have thought so.

Marilyn Monroe- Glamorous Legend

Marilyn Monroe has been an icon for as long as I can remember and it honestly amazes me. Her blonde hair, vulumptous curves, red lips, and classy style instilled her into the hall of fame of all time. It amazes me that someone can portray an image and it sticks with them long after they are dead. Everyone knows who Marilyn Monroe is and that means she must have done something right. She even had a famous painter paint her picture, which by the way is one of my favorites.

The Mainland

Yes that is correct I am home.... as depressing as it was to come home to snow, it was nice to see everyone that I have missed. It is really amazing that somewhere, not all that far away, there is blue sky, sandy beaches, and warm sunshine, despite the white stuff that is currently covering all the grass in front of my apartment. Vacation really is time spent regaining yourself. That is exactly what I did. I ran away I felt like and it was what needed to happen to get me back on track. Everyone should do this, I think! Once I get pictures from Meg, I will post them to share with you! Thanks Meg. Corb, and Indie for letting us crash your lives for 13 days, it was the best vacation anyone could have asked for. Love you and miss you, especially Indie's smiles all day long.

C.O.U.R.A.G.E.

Greeting from Hawaii... I haven't and won't post any pictures until I return, which yes is the 25th! I would love to see all those lovely faces I have missed so much (you know who you are). First thing is first. The boys who live above Meg and Corbin built a mini ramp in their car port and I have been trying to get the courage to learn how to drop in. Ok I don't know why I am so nervous to try this when I jumped off a 165ft bridge TWICE! It boogles my mind. But here is to courage, it is what keeps everyone going, allows us to do new things, and go out of our comfort zones, so I must do it before I leave or I will be so mad at myself!

Here is the dictionary definition of Courage: The ability to do something that frightens one; strength in the face of pain or grief; courage is what makes someone capable of facing extreme danger (ex: bungee jumping) and difficulty without retreating; it implies not only bravery and a dauntless spirit, but the ability to endure in times of adversity; someone who has guts.

PEOPLE I CAN DO THIS! I HAVE GUTS!!!

Reading on the Beach

So I am off to Hawaii Wednesday and I need some good books to read on the beach! Any Suggestions? I need something fun, easy, and entertaining... and no not the twilight series I have read all of those books twice and endulged myself in them this summer to keep me occupied so I want something new. Just give me some ideas, maybe some good reads you have read recently or heard of. Easy right!

Midterms= No fun!

This week and last week have been midterms and you know what, I hate them and I am ready to have my last one over with tomorrow. That will be 4 midterms and 3 papers in basically a week. That sounds awful when I say it like that. Well it has been pretty awful, but I always have to remember that I am in school for a reason and it is an opportunity. I love being educated and getting the chance to learn and acquire skills that will only help me with my future. It sounds cheesy I know, but lately I have been so grateful to be able to say that I will graduate in just 2 more semesters and be able to start a career (I hope ha). But with midterms comes no fun.... no late night movies with Liz and Lauren (well just movies at our place), no pranks at 3 in the mornings, and not very much snowboarding, but that is because there is dirt peeking through the not so snowy ski runs which is quite depressing if you ask me. The one thing that has kept me going is I fly to Hawaii for 13 days on Wednesday! I am one lucky girl, but it is a vacation that is much needed after the year I have had. The beach, Meg, Corb, Indie, and maybe there is a cute guy, but it all sounds perfect to me. I don't know what I am going to do with out my twinners though, the trio will just have to reunite in style when I return. What should we do? Maybe another bungee jumping extravaganza or a big dance party, or both... Oh wait we already did those things! We are quite the trio if you ask me. They are the other thing that has kept me sane even though I have been going, going, going, going... driving, driving, driving. It is turing into no fun! And I like fun! Here are just some of the things I love, get my mind of the things that create no fun!

The Trio: In all our greatness

The Fact That I Get To Fly Away in 7 Days... To Hawaii!

Not only do I get to go to Hawaii, but I get to go with My Mom and Dad... just like for Meg's graduation a long time ago
