st.george.marathon

It finally came! After four months of early early mornings and long training runs, I finally ran the St. George marathon and let me tell you it was not easy.

At the beginning of September I pulled my abductor in my upper thigh and I was not able to train or run like I wanted all of September and still bothering me on race day I went for it. I wasn’t thrilled about my time, but I finished and I did it. I am relieved it is over, but it was a lot of fun to do with Dave, Erin and Care, that was definitely the best part.

The worst part-- I couldn't even walk for two days after and my pulled muscle is even worse, oh well what can ya do.

Marathons definitely take time, commitment and sacrifice. It is weird that my life no longer revolves around my training runs. Tomorrow will be the first Saturday I get to sleep in since I don’t know when. I probably won’t even sleep in passed 7 to be honest. Here are some pictures from the race.

The thing that made the race and made my day was seeing Liz and Justin cheering me on at the finish. I am sad I didn't get a picture with them. I have such awesome friends who wished me luck before my race.

Trevor & Frank were our support on their bikes starting at mile 18. I cried when I saw him. Trevor is amazing and has supported me the whole time through training, injuries and race day. I love him.

My sister-in-law Care, she has been a great training buddy and I love running with her. Me and my medal! Booyah

Me and my medal! Booyah Gross blister, seriously made my toe look deformed.

Gross blister, seriously made my toe look deformed. My feet have definitely seen better days can't wait to get a pedicure.
