Even though this past
week was a four day work week, it seemed to be a long one. We did some pretty
fun stuff though. On Memorial day I ran in the Park City PC5 Memorial 5K, of
course I represented Matt and was remembering all the good memories throughout the
run. What a great way to celebrate the 5 Park City graduates who passed away in
a 6 month period in 2008. I did think a lot about where I am today compared to
where I was that year, I am so grateful for those trying times, but so grateful
for present times, for now. How far I have come, how happy I am, but there are
still days where complete sadness takes over. Matt was a best friend and our
whole group of friends has definitely learned and struggled from the event of
Matt’s passing. How much he has defined each of us in these four years is
pretty neat. He was meant to go and do something more than be here with us. He
is continuing his mission with our Heavenly Father and I know that was his
plan. I truly miss Matt and love him dearly, but he led me to greater things
like my marriage and the man of my dreams.
We also spent some time
spending money at the outlets… especially in Nike, here is what I got! I have to look cute while
training for a marathon don’t you think?
On Monday evening to
continue the celebration of Memorial day, we had a family picnic at Liberty
Park. We got some BBQ and found an empty picnic table and enjoyed our time people watching, eating and hanging out. It was a lot of fun and
considering all the people around Nixon was well behaved.
The rest of the week
was spent running, biking and celebrating Frank and Coleman’s birthdays. We
ended up having a great dinner with the Linthorst clan and getting some Sub
Zero ice cream which was a lot of fun. We just love them to pieces. And I guess
Coleman and Frank are pretty rad too!
(I pretty much love him to pieces)
Last, but not least
Saturday was a fun day we went running, biking, hiking, swimming and hung out
with family and friends. And Sunday we celebrated my friend, Brenna’s
graduation from college and my mom’s birthday it was a great way to end the
week.
(after my 9 mile run)

So hello Monday bring
it on!
